Work Completed
The following items have so far been completed
on the 1970 AMX:
- Headliner recovered. (Newbury, MA)
- Front brake system restored (calipers, rotors, and wheel
bearings), New self-adjuster cables on the rear brakes. (Newbury, MA)
- The front end, engine bay, trunk lid, and passenger door
body panels have been repaired and painted. Some work on the roof has been done and some
unusable body panels were removed. (Jacksonville, FL)
- The engine was torn down for an inspection. This inspection
revealed the need for a rebuild. (Jacksonville, FL)
- The following parts were powder coated by Action Brass (Ft.
Pierce, FL): Shock towers, alternator and accelerator brackets, dipstick, valve covers,
and all four Magnum 500 wheels. (Jacksonville, FL)
- Front suspension has been rebuilt (Grayson, GA)
- Engine rebuild completed (Grayson, GA)
- Driver side door replacement (San Antonio, TX)
- Wheels mounted (San Antonio, TX)
- Engine compartment detailing (San Antonio, TX)
- Installation of all engine related item not installed in
Grayson, GA (San Antonio, TX)
- Replacement of the fuel tank (San Antonio, TX)
- Installation of bumpers and lights (San Antonio, TX)
- Engine installation completed and engine broken in (San
Antonio, TX)
- Installation and paint prep of correct driver's door 9San
Antonio, TX)
- Rear brake system restored (San Antonio, TX)
- Engine compartment detailing (San Antonio, TX)
- Installation of new brake and fuel lines (San Antoni, TX)
- Installation of new window sweeps (San Antonio, TX)
- Brake and fuel systems installation completed (San Antonio,
TX)
- Installation of new exhaust system (San Antonio, TX)
- Replace passenger side quarter panel and
miscellaneous body work (Racine, WI)
- Finish body work and start of paint prep
