Natural Bridge - April 2012

My first hike was to see Natural Bridge arch. This arch is located behind and about 300 feet above the lodge at Natural Bridge State Resort Park. I took the original trail to the arch. The trail is about 3/4 of a mile long and is fairly steep in some places (mostly near the top). This is an old trail built specifically for tourism so there are steps in some places, it is fairly level from side to side, and there are benches located along the trail so you can sit if you need to. There is also a sky lift located in the park if hiking up hill isn't your thing but you'll miss out on a lot of nice scenery. There were not many people around the day I hiked this trail but there were a number of people who seemed to be racing to the top instead of taking their time and enjoying the scenery.
