Len Brooks' 1966 Rambler Rebel

First a little background on the car and how I got it. The car is a 1966 Rambler Rebel Classic 2 door hard top. It's got a 327 cubic inch engine( newly rebuilt in 1979, with very few miles put on since). with a 380 4bbl Holley carburetor (270 hp with this carb) 3 speed "Flash-O-Matic" transmission, Twin-Grip differential, console shift, black interior with bucket seats. It's the original color (or close to it. It was newly painted in 1980) the color Antigua red. With a black vinyl top , put on sometime after the new paint job by another owner. The car was originally purchased in North Hollywood California, at Bonanza Rambler, 54949 Lankershim Boulevard. I'm not sure who purchased it. I have numerous repair sheets with a man by the name of Ron Brown, who at the time, lived here in New Brunswick, Canada. They dated in the '70's.

In 1980 a friend of mine (who I never knew at the time) purchased the car from someone in town, painted it (the paint job mentioned above) and shortly there after sold it to a pawn shop for $1200.00. It was 2 years ago that A good friend told me about this car sitting in a garage, it had been sitting there for a quite awhile so I went to look at it and liked what I saw. I purchased the car for $2000.00. It needed a little work, minor body repair on the drivers side rear quarter panel over tire, and front end springs, one trunnion, and control arm bushings. I have all the parts now, and may soon get to work on it.
