Fourth Report of Work Done - Racine, Wisconsin Stop

May 13, 2003

I went down today (May 9, 2003) and checked on the progress of the Charity AMX. Steve has worked on the roof, bumping out the dents and applying a coat of filler to it. He said a skim coat is all that was necessary and that he will finish up the roof soon. It will then be back to the quarter panel once the roof is straight.

I have an update on the parts situation:

Mark Moddes of Kenosha has donated his time, materials, and equipment to polish all of the stainless trim for the car before Zion Auto Body is finished so they can install all nice, shiny bright work.

Kennedy American & American Parts Depot: 1970 black AMX "C" stripe set, donated by their stripe manufacturer who has the most complete and only line of AMC stripe kits made from original AMC stripes. Distributed exclusively by Kennedy American & American Parts Depot.

John Anastasio of Classic Car Wiring has graciously donated a complete color laminated wiring diagram. This will make life easier for anyone now or in the future when working on the electrical system. The diagram is great. It is color coded and has large lines that are easy to follow from one side to the other. The front side of the 8.5" x 11" diagram has the front half of the car the back side has the rear half. The color legend on the diagram makes finding that lost wire easy.

All else is well and the car is progressing. I will continue to update as we progress to new paint and all.

Respectfully,
